ZIMMER.OBST - COMPANY
We are based in Brandenburg directly in the “Am Winkel” commercial area in Spreenhagen. With the proximity to the eastern Berliner Ring A 10 and the A12 motorway, our factory premises are very easy to reach.
We can work quickly, efficiently and quality-consciously in our offices, the workshops for material preparation and assembly, various warehouses and the large paved outdoor areas.
ZIMMER.OBST - VALUES
PASSION
We do what we love. Always put our heart and soul into our work. Always do our best. And you can see that.
VICINITY
We are your partner and we are there for you. From the planning to the last screw – we are at your side in every project phase.
HONESTY
We stand behind our work with our names. That is why we control our work with great care in order to be able to deliver consistently high-quality products.
Our wooden constructions are products of craftsmanship, always solidly constructed and executed in a carpenter’s way.
All wooden parts are gang-sawn, planed on all sides and chamfered to protect against splinters and sharp edges.
Our post shoes provide stability under heavy loads and prevent damage from rot.
Wooden surfaces are treated with linseed oil varnish and solvent-free acrylic paints. They are ecologically harmless, resistant to saliva and sweat, water-based and weatherproof with high UV protection.
The ropes and nets we use are made of average-protected,
Polypropylene (PP) Hercules material with steel core.
Climbing and stretching bars are made of stainless steel tubes and the add-on slides we use are made of strong full stainless steel.
We use glass fiber reinforced plastics (GRP) to create abstract design components for our interactive art and play objects. They are so-called composites made of fibers and resins, they impress with their high static and dynamic resilience – despite their low weight.
We use our resources responsibly.
The wood we use comes from ecologically, economically and socially sustainable forestry and has the PEFC seal of approval.
With the help of the solar panels on our workshop hall, we generate our own electricity and we use wood waste to heat our production halls.
The manufacturing process of our playground equipment is monitored from planning to implementation in such a way that all requirements of EN 1176/1177 are fully met.
Our playground equipment is designed in such a way that children are encouraged to play interesting game processes. They learn to assess risks realistically, to explore their limits and to overcome obstacles together.
FOUNDER
Frank Zimmer (Dipl. Designer) and Carsten Obst (wood designer) are the two managing directors and creative minds. They already have more than 25 years of experience in the field of playroom design and were already working together successfully on many projects before ZIMMER.OBST GmbH was founded.
As a team, they use the synergies in the creative work to jointly develop innovative game ideas.
TEAM
Our highly trained team is always looking for new, motivated colleagues.
